We welcome you to Hands of Action Uganda!
Hands of Action Uganda is a not-for-profit registered Community Based Organization (CBO) Formerly RUFG-created by a group of men and women farmers in Bududa district, Eastern Uganda, dedicated to promote and empower rural communities out of poverty, help HIV/AIDS affected and infected people, and to be the most competent and effective organization in providing services to alleviate mass suffering through the care and support of children, widows, orphans, and the disabled.
Our mission is to help the rural communities of the area improve their lives and prospects by mobilizing them to directly participate in initiatives and activities aimed at significantly improving their circumstances, both now and in the future.

Welcome Matt Kandel to Bududa District
Matt Kandel will be joining Hands of Action Uganda for his dissertation research which will focus on issues of economic development and state formation/ decentralization in Bukibokolo Bududa District in Eastern Uganda.
Matt attended college at Fordham University, where he double majored in Philosophy and African and African-American studies. He is a doctoral student in the cultural anthropology program in the Anthropology department at the CUNY Graduate Center since 2007. He currently resides in New York City.

Hands of Action Uganda welcomes Naiane Serafin
as Development Partnership Associate
Naiane Serafin has joined with Hands of Action Uganda. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from the UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH SANTA CATARIN, (UNISUL) in Brazil. She has worked with the Center for Digital Inclusion CDI, working with different projects that use technology as a way to fight poverty, increasing community development, mobilization, autonomy and entrepreneurial behaviors. Naiane is living in London, England since 2004.
Join me to welcome Naiane with that good experience which Hands of Action Uganda needs.

Mr. Wepukhulu Mubuka Silvano Nangoye is Chairman
of Board of Directors for Hands of Action Uganda
Hands of Action Uganda is pleased to announce Mr. Wepukhulu Mubuka Silvano Nangoye as Chairman Board of Directors.
Silvano has more than 30 years experience in Administration and Management of Municipal Council schools, District Education Committee. He has served as Treasurer Head of the Teachers Association Mbale Municipal Schools. Counselor of Mbale Municipality, Chairman Maluku ward and General Secretary of Busano cell. He has conducted training and supervision of field staff in different countries on Handheld and Differential capacities.
I am sure all HOAU partners, board and staff would join me for warm welcome and best wishes to Silvano.
